The Foundation has graciously opened its preserve to host Seventh Generation Rising in partnership with The Confederation of Ohlone People for a weekend of camping. We will be taken on a catamaran tour of the Slough and enjoy a private camping area. We are in deep gratitude for these opportunities. Let us know if you're interested in joining us!
We have partnered with Indian Urban Health Institute to provide a screening of the Decolonizing Data Film Series at our camping event. We are excited to sit together and have a deep discussion about what this means to us and how we aim to restore Indigenous methods of data collection and analysis, aligning with our mission to revitalize cultural practices.
NATIVE MOVEMENTS HAVE LONG CALLED FOR ACCURATE AND FAIR REPRESENTATION
DECOLONIZING DATA: 1) Reclaiming the Indigenous value of data collection, analysis, and research. 2) Data for Native people, by Native people. 3) Recognizes the inherent strength of Indigenous people.

The Elkhorn Slough Foundation, one of SGR's partner agencies, delivers Free to Learn wilderness education programs that will focus on expanding participants' understanding about the relationship between land and sea. To complement this learning, we will host our inaugural wilderness experience at the Elkhorn Slough Preserve. This exciting experiential learning opportunity will include an on-the-water component.
These offerings will be rich opportunities for youth & families that you don't want to miss!
