Danza Azteca is more than dance—it's prayer, healing, community connection, and cultural preservation. At Seventh Generation Rising (SGR), our Danza Azteca group gathers weekly to uphold and celebrate ancestral traditions, promote intergenerational unity, and support individual and collective healing.

We welcome both seasoned dancers and those new to Danza Azteca. Experienced members provide patient mentorship, ensuring everyone feels included and supported.

Throughout the year, our group proudly shares Danza Azteca at significant community gatherings, including:

• Stanford Powwow
• Annual Mexica New Year
• Medicine Buddha Festival
• Local schools and cultural events

These events allow us to share the beauty and power of our traditions with the broader community, fostering mutual respect and cultural awareness.

Rooted deeply in ancestral tradition, Danza Azteca strengthens cultural identity, builds resilience against generational trauma, and reconnects individuals to Indigenous teachings and land-based practices. Through rhythm, movement, and prayer, we heal and uplift ourselves and our communities.
