Juan Ramirez Brambila is a community builder and educator whose focus is on relationship-building because it allows for authentic spaces for learning, safety, and belonging. His love for creating multi-species relationships was passed down by his ancestors from Ayotitlán Jalisco, Mexico. Juan has had the honor of stewarding inter-generational programs where people can belong, share their stories, and be in relationship with each other on the land.
He grew up in Salinas and attended CSU Monterey Bay, where he discovered his passion for education. With over 15 years of experience leading community programs, Juan is currently the Community Programs Manager at the Elkhorn Slough Foundation and a volunteer Program Coordinator for Latino Outdoors Central Coast.
