Board Treasurer | Chiropractor | Cultural Supporter
Dr. Paul KiAtswn Paez is of Chibcha and Nasa ancestry and has dedicated much of his life to service—both in professional healing spaces and in Indigenous ceremonial circles. From his early years as a Cub Scout to decades of work in chiropractic care, Paul’s path has always been shaped by a deep commitment to supporting others.
Paul is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic in both Oregon and California and holds extensive training in animal chiropractic, trauma-informed care, nutrition response, and posture correction. He has served as a clinical director, educator, and business owner for over two decades, and was a preceptor program supervisor at Life West College from 2012 to 2023, where he mentored students in both clinical excellence and culturally informed care.
His spiritual path deepened under the guidance of his adopted Cherokee father, Yellowhorseman, who introduced him to Indigenous teachings that continue to guide his approach to family, health, and leadership. Paul has served as medical staff at Standing Rock, supported multiple Sun Dances across the U.S., and remains active in community health and ceremony.
Today, Paul finds deep joy in watching his 4-year-old son carry forward these teachings through drumming, singing, and dance. As Treasurer of Seventh Generation Rising, he brings both operational insight and heart, supporting the organization’s growth with integrity, accountability, and a long view toward intergenerational wellness.
He believes that cultural connection is healing, and that every act of service—whether clinical or ceremonial—is part of preparing the path for those yet to come.
